Abstract

|
The Technicon Autoanalyzer was used for the automatic Colorimetric determination of ethoxybenzamide in various pharmaceutical preparations.
By the action of bromine on an alkaline solution, the ethoxybenzamide is converted to an amine, and which is conducted the diazotization in dilute hydroachloric acid solution. The formed diazonium salt combines with β-naphthol to give a scarlet dye, the absorbance of which was measured at 505??.
The relative Standard deviation of results in this method was about 0.7%.
